Hey, I'm Kristin!
When I was a child, I wanted to be a chef. I would count down the days until I could make my imaginary dreams into a reality.
The moment I found out I was accepted into The Culinary Institute of America, it felt like I had come one step closer to achieving what I so desperately sought out. But it wasn't until my second year at CIA that I realized my goals went further beyond what I had originally conceptualized.
I decided to pursue a career in food and lifestyle media and publication. When I graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in 2017, I enrolled at Ramapo College of New Jersey in 2018 and acquired my bachelor’s in journalism.
While working within the industry — previously as a fellow for the Home & Kitchen Reference and Reviews team at Insider and now a Food Commerce Writer at Dotdash Meredith — my goal is to spread my knowledge and passion for food, food techniques and culture, food commerce, and more through thoughtful ideation, product testing, informative writing, and sharp editing.
